Software Engineer
Amentum is seeking a Software Tools Developer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dahlgren, VA.
Are you a self-motivated individual that, with solid instruction and guidance, can run with a few tasks, develop software code using C/C++, Shell Scripting, or SQL, and report progress every few days? Be our next eager developer seeking to learn, communicate, ask questions, research and find answers to design solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop components within Jira (or associated applications), to include new projects, workflows, custom fields, interfaces and reports. Support data migration or integration from other systems, as defined by user requirements (i.e., DOT tickets).
2. Support, review and provide input on technical requirements and work estimates based on functional requirements.
3. Manage deployment activities. Implement components between development and production environments.
4. Identify and resolve issues and bugs that affect the functionality of our Jira instances.
5. Perform testing on Jira development tickets implemented in development and production environments.
6. Configure and test the functionality of plugins for relevance/enhancement to our Jira environment.
7. Provide assistance/feedback to general users who report issues via the program's Jira help e-mail distribution.
