Overview:
The Special Programs Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating services and activities associated with Parkview Hospital’s Receiving Stroke Center Program, Palliative Care, and Joint Care programs. Coordinates, provides direction and oversees the programs in collaboration with the Medical Director. Coordinates and provides direction to the teams including communication and coordination with quality, nursing and others as needed. Coordinates and provides support to the clinical peer review process for the programs in conjunction with the Medical Director. Promotes customer service initiatives and provides a seamless positive patient experience. Makes daily clinical rounds to ensure compliance with core measures and evidence-based care. Works collaboratively with quality management to monitor patient outcomes and improvement,

Qualifications:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of California is preferred. Licensed Vocational Nurse license is required. Bachelors’ degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Two to five years of clinical experience including experience in patient care management. Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served. Basic understanding of management and leadership principles. Possess good oral and written communication. Self motivated. Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication. Current BLS, and ACLS required.
