Description

A trainee with the Beloit Sky Carp works in an organization and environment that is recognized as one of the best in minor league baseball. The Sky Carp’s goal is to provide each trainee valuable work experience, and great preparation for a full-time position with the Sky Carp or other sports organizations. The position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30 hours per week and does not include benefits other than hourly pay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and attend all mascot appearances
  • Schedule and attend all player appearances
  • Implement and track incentive card program
  • Schedule and conduct all field trips and stadium tours
  • Schedule and conduct Reading program
  • Consistently update MiLB charity page
  • Assist in fulfilling and tracking donations

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to organize, make and report cold calls
  • Ability to attend company events of all types
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pull tarp and other manual labor tasks


Education and Experience

One plus year of customer service or community relations experience preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs. The position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30-40 hours per week and does not include benefits other than pay ($12/hr).

The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
