WHAT YOU'LL DO

Our Finance team loves digging into the details to drive profitability while providing excellent customer service.

You’ll focus on collecting payments from our customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement throughout not only in Accounts Receivable, but the whole of Talking Rain.

Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA office 2 days a week on Tuesday and Wednesday

Annual Bonus Potential: 6%

  • Manage the collections process from end to end, setting up new customers and keeping their accounts up to date.
  • Build rapport with your assigned customers, answer questions, navigating unique situations, finding solutions to resolve any obstacles to payment, and negotiating payment arrangements. You’ll take the lead, but also quickly escalate critical matters to your manager and lead for timely resolution.
  • Partner with Rain Makers across departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Distribute customer statements and reminders.
  • Utilize multiple sources of information, including credit reports, to assign or adjust credit limits for customers.
  • Process and research billback transactions, including the processing of credit memos.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and fact find in support of issue resolution as required.
  • Support the Accounting Manager as needed with training and mentorship of the AR team.
  • Provide back-up as needed for daily invoicing and cash receipts posting.
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, notifying immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of Accounts Receivable and Collections experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage these processes with full autonomy.
  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods or Manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel) required.
  • Experience in ERP Microsoft Dynamics and Proficiency in Concur.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
