JOB DESCRIPTION:

The general responsibilities of this position are to manage store lab operations on a district level, ensuring that proper training, quality, productivity and maintenance controls are consistent throughout the district. This is a leadership role, responsible for the development and engagement of people, as well as the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.

• Oversee the daily lab operations of approximately 15-20 locations.
• Ensure that training, quality, productivity, and machine maintenance are kept to Eyemart’s high standards.
• Clearly communicate all new or updated lab procedures to store management and associates.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve our lab procedures.
• Provide regular feedback on lab operations.
• Partnering with the Store Managers to hire, onboard, develop and engage Lab Managers and lab associates
• Managing the In-Store Lab capital assets, allocating equipment using an objective methodology to gain production output, operational redundancy and retire poor ROI aging assets. In the management of these assets under guidance of the VP of Lab Ops, the SDLM will collaborate across departments with Finance, BI and Accounting to support the growth of the Eyemart Express in investing capital dollars, track critical inventory and demonstrate sound judgement in its utilization.

• Leading the implementation of transformative, network initiatives that impact the manufacturing streams. Partnering in the ideation and conceptualization stages, this position will own the implementation, execution and follow up of vital projects as they hit the ground.
• Collaborate with BI and VP of Lab ops to continuously challenge our manufacturing processes by building analytics that add value to our customer proposition and EBITDA.
• Use authentic leadership styles with proven development techniques, building and sustaining programs that have a network impact to retain and encourage the next generation leaders.

Travel Required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:

• Must have 2-5 years of experience repairing Optical Lab Equipment.
• Must have experience in Multi-Unit (Multiple Locations) Management.
• Proven success in developing and motivating lab teams.
• Ability to successfully interact with senior management and store associates.
• Able to travel to stores full-time.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
