Sr. Product Designer Job at Tarkett
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Designer is responsible for both tile and broadloom running line and custom product. This position will assume ownership for specific Product Development projects and new initiatives. Occasional travel is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To research the market for new trends, and the ability to create from patterns, ideas, and color directions for the design of innovative products.

Develop exceptional running line and custom design by using computer aided design system (CAD).
-
Responsible for taking designs from concept to full color palette product completion.

Must be able to identify a problem and implement innovative solution with little to no assistance.

Work independently and with Product Development team in Dalton to design exceptional running line style and custom designs using computer aided design system
-
Take ownership of large projects and see through to completion
-
Lead and interact with customers during client visits

Develop and maintain both trend and product presentations
-
Develop project focused custom carpet solutions through a collaborative environment working with account executives and clients

Travel and participate in market research and feedback, customer product presentations, industry design and trade shows

Gather Voice of Customer on new product introductions
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in relevant area of study required.

Minimum 8+ years experience as designer or in a similar role, including experience in textiles, required.

Flooring industry experience preferred but not required.

Master proficiency computer skills to include Ned Graphics, Tuft, and Photoshop software, with proficiency level skills in Microsoft products, electronic mail and routine database activity.
