We Ship Express is looking for a Sr. Sales Executives to join our team. While the positions are remote based, we are focusing on candidates in the Los Angeles, CA or Southern, CA area to support this geography.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for all new strategic and large-scale customer acquisition and growth of assigned portfolio. As an inside/outside sales role, the Senior Sales Executive must be comfortable and effective in face-to-face and electronic communications, negotiations, and presentations. Advanced competency levels in planning, negotiating, strategic agility and problem solving will be utilized to expand channels of business and develop solutions for complex customer situations.

The Senior Sales Executive will, as needed and directed, assist in the training and development of Sales Representatives. This position may also assist in the development and planning of long-term strategic initiatives.

This is a sales focused position with opportunity for knowledge and skill base expansion for continued development. Time management will be crucial for success with 90% focus on revenue goal attainment and 10% of time spent on additional activities.

Essential Functions

  • Achieve assigned KPI’s and revenue goals in prospecting, portfolio growth, and new sales.
  • Effectively communicate We Ship Express’ value proposition to prospects and clients, and be able to discuss topics like shipping, e-commerce, and regulated commodities.
  • Direct sell to customers to achieve your annual quota.
  • Engage with the Senior Sales team to share leads back and forth
  • Present pricing and contracts to customers and effectively negotiate deals.
  • Evaluate P&L, costs, and make strategic margin decisions for the business.
  • Discuss technology concepts at a high-level such as API, billing file, tracking portal, etc. (This is not a highly technical role)
  • On a limited basis, step in as escalation point when Customer Service has a customer issue
  • Use CRM effectively and ensure all relevant customer details are entered appropriately.
  • Ensure smooth account handoff to CS Department after a deal has launched
  • Ensure all active prospects are being sold pricing terms that produce the desired unit economics and gross margin levels for the business.
  • Maintain an organized and scalable prospecting process. Leveraging software tools generated analytics and metrics to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure all pricing and financial terms (including miscellaneous or special pricing programs) are accurately populating customer invoices. Ensuring that any inaccuracies or errors on invoices are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Customer Service, IT Solutions, HR, and Sr Management on projects and initiatives
  • Directly plan, implement, and manage solutions to grow account base, while driving results that deliver market share growth for WSE
  • Develop mutually valuable relationships with customers, through understanding their key needs and requirements.
  • Serve as the communication lead between key customers and internal teams.
  • Conduct market research and analysis for new channel opportunities
  • Assist as needed in the development of long-term strategic initiatives
  • Mentor and assist in the development and training of Sales Representatives/Business Development Associates

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication preferred or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • 5-7 years sales experience with documented success in shipping, logistics, fulfillment, or e-commerce required; alcohol/wine preferred
  • Consultative sales background
