SRO SUPPORT STAFF

The SRO Support Staff provides supervision of the residence as well as assists clients accepted into the
SRO with their daily living and ADL skills.

CURRENTLY OFFERING 7 HOURS SHIFTS ONE OR TWO DAYS PER WEEK. MUST BE ABLE TO
WORK SATURDAY AND/OR SUNDAY AND OCCASIONAL WEEKDAY SHIFTS FROM 8AM-3PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Upon acceptance into the SRO Program clients will be oriented to the requirements of the specific housing program they are in and a support plan developed that reflects the client’s goals
• Perform crisis intervention as necessary
• Support Staff will interact with all clients, engaging them in meaningful program activities, such as: Meal preparation, room inspections and participation in scheduled program activities
• Document incidents using the client Incident Report forms
• Conduct periodic residence census check throughout each shift, which will include going up and down 2-3 flights of stairs
• Ensure the safety of each resident, by monitoring the cameras and intervening whenever a conflict arise
• Document client and facility issues in the staff communication log
• When feasible, attend Agency-wide social functions scheduled for either staff or clients
• Work closely as a team member with other Agency staff members
• Any other activities/tasks assigned in the pursuit of client health and safety
• All schedules/shift are subject to change
• Staff are expected to remain onsite for the duration of their shift

Knowledge and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services area, a plus
• One to two years social service experience, preferably in a non-profit environment
• Experience working effectively with the adult Mental Health population strongly preferred
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly to a broad range of people

Salary: $20 per hour
