Staff Accountant Job at Huber Technology
The Manufacturing Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable function and ensuring timely collection of customer payments. The staff accountant will also assist with accounts payable entry and supplier invoice processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. The role will involve working closely with other members of the accounting team, as well as liaising with customers and other external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's accounts receivable function, ensuring timely cash collection
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, working closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any issues
- Prepare and send customer statements and reminders for payment
- Process customer payments and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports
- Respond to customer inquiries and disputes in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Assist with processing invoices thru data entry and PO verification
- Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Assisting with credit card reconciliation
- Paying vendors by scheduling checks and ACH/wire payments
- Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding payments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting function
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Working Conditions:
The Manufacturing Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant will typically work in an office environment, with regular hours of work from Monday to Friday. However, occasional overtime may be required during peak periods such as month-end or year-end close. The job may also require sitting for extended periods and working at a computer for long periods of time.
