• JOB DESCRIPTION*

• Maintains contact will Nursing staff, (PRN pool, PT and FT) to ensure staffing needs are filled and schedules are complete while working within hospital staffing guidelines.
• Ensures Nursing staff are scheduled to their employment status; PRN staff to fulfill minimum requirement.
• Works with the evening nurse managers/DON to report and inform of changes made, staffing needs and/ or problems not yet resolved.
• Maintains a master list of all employees and current phone number through Shift Hound.
• Establishes new employee profiles upon hire
• Coordinates with Director of Education and Unit Managers to assign new hires to respective units and ensuring new hires are scheduled with preceptors for unit training.
• Communicates well with all nursing staff and other departments at all times;
• Communicates with members of Leadership to inform pertinent developments or problems as they arise.
• Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient and employee related information.
• Exercises good judgment and maintains impartiality when making staffing decisions
• Attends Clinical Supervision as outlined in Nursing Service policy.
• Attends all required in-services annually

Qualifications:*

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related experience in psychiatric field preferred; or the equivalent substitution of related experience.
• Ability to work independently, using proper judgment.
• Ability to work well with all types of people.
• Ability to set priorities.
• Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English. Selected skills/credentials as defined by the department’s scope of services.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
