JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Stainless TIG welder (Thin wall/sch 10 Stainless pipe)

Basic Job Description: Welder duties and responsibilities include reading blueprints, cutting materials, and welding. This position does require some travel to assist with installs and in-field welding to secure final connections.

Basic Qualifications

• Clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of experience with GTAW working in a shop/fabrication environment, using various measurement and verification tools (laser level, calipers, plumb line, level, etc.) to dimension and build piping weldments based on detailed drawings
• Experience with hand/power tools, materials, and practices of the welding trade

Preferred skills and experience

• 3+ years of experience with GTAW welding
• Basic understanding of pipe welding/familiar with all positions
• Familiar with pipe welding positioners/turntables
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, AWS/ASME codes, and engineering requirements
• Experience with hand/power tools, materials, and practices of the welding trade
• Knowledge in ferrous and non-ferrous metals in relation to welding and brazing
• Knowledge in occupational hazards and effective safety precautions of the trade
• Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
