Structural Steel Detailer Job at Boyce Iron & Steel, Inc.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Verify and detail products and material dimensions, and quantity of parts needed for jobs based on review of architectural, landscape and structural plans provided by General Contractor.
2. Indicate markings needed on material being fabricated in shop.
3. Verify layout is within tolerance to job specifications.
4. Review architect/engineer of record redlines of our shop drawings to determine what needs to be updated for resubmission.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. 3D modeling experience with SDS/2 preferable
2. Experience using AutoCAD, BlueBeam or Tekla is a plus
3. Ability to read and understand architectural/landscape/structural drawings
4. Ability to start and finish a project on time
5. Must be a creative and independent thinker
6. Willingness to search for solutions to design and fabrication problems
7. Must be highly detail oriented, organized, and possess good math & communication skills
8. Ability to manage multiple projects
9. Intermediate to advanced arithmetic skills required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
