Student - Meter Shop Job at We Energies (WE)
We Energies, subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Student - Meter Shop in our Pewaukee, WI location.
This position will start in May or June, works full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Starting Pay: $18.12
Job Responsibilities
Test and clean single phase as well as polyphase electric meters, instrument transformers and protective rubber goods including gloves, sleeves, and cover-up materials.- Use computers with bar code scanners to log in meter device ID, operation and configuration of various automated test systems.
- Entry of meter register readings to databases.
- Radio transmission testing of AMI electric meters.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to defective meters.
- Preparation of tested material for distribution, warehouse support of meter inventory.
- Other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Experience Required
Must be 18 years of age or older.- High School diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student pursuing a Technical, Associate, Bachelor, or Master's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Engineering.
