Student Nurse Tech
The Student Nurse Tech will receive a monthly stipend while completing the RN program. In exchange for the stipend, the Student Nurse Tech will agree to work two months as a Registered Nurse for each month they receive the stipend.
JOB SUMMARY
The Student Nurse Tech is a student nurse who assists their preceptor with nursing care to patients assigned to their team. The Student Nurse Tech is responsible to the preceptor to which they are assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate positive customer service relations
- Implement patient care under the guidance of the preceptor
- Assist co-workers as needed/requested, within the scope of the nurse extern
- Support the Medical Center’s Mission/Vision/Values positively
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other essential duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Student in good standing of a nationally accredited nursing program with completion of nursing fundamentals course.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.
- Current BLS required.
