We are seeking a Supply Technician to support the United States Coast Guard Elizabeth City Air Station. The client requires a daily presence. This position is office based at Coast Guard facilities in Elizabeth City, NC. (remote/home office is not an option). This position requires the ability to obtain a government Common Access Card and to meet security requirements for access onto the base complex and for Coast Guard computer access. (Note: This is a Low Risk, Non-Sensitive, Physical/Logical Access (HSPD-12 Credentialing) position requiring a Tier 1 investigation.)
In addition to other duties as required, this position will oversee the ordering, storage, and distribution of aviation consumables (AMC). Such consumables include: acid brushes, paper towels, safety wire, tape, trash bags, ear plugs, and other disposable items necessary in the daily routine of Air Station operations.
Responsibilities are but limited to:
Account for over 11,000-line items including aircraft hardware, tools, and consumables:
- Maintain readiness of Aviation Materiel Office (AMO) window serving Air Station Personnel.
- Overseeing the ordering of over 7200-line items of consumable items including parts for the shops.
- Cross reference information and products through one of the required Government sources (GSA Advantage, FED LOG, etc.), acquiring the necessary information to assist and support the Unit Shop.
- Preform quarterly inventory of stock to insure it matches what we have and, in the Fleet Logistic System (FLS).
- Assist in maintaining Air Station equipment calibration program through the CG Precision Measuring Equipment Laboratories (PMEL) program.
- Order Milstrip 3/5 type parts for the Air Station.
- Request orders for broken tools for any shop that is required.
- Assist as needed and other duties as required.
- Coordinate with Engineering Department Chief Petty Officers and Ground Services Equipment (GSE) representatives to complete required orders within FPD.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ work experience – experience with aviation consumables, preferred. (Experience with USCG Elizabeth City desired.)
- Strong organization and planning skills / attention to detail.
- Experience with office administrative skills and abilities.
- Experience with various office automation systems, software applications, and computer equipment.
- Strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and have proven data analysis skills.
- Ability to daily commute to the government HQ Monday-Friday.
- Must be able to clearly read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. without assistance.
