gi-jin (gi-jin.com) located in Bakery Square, Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced full-time Sushi Chef.

Part of the Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group (richarddeshantz.com), gi-jin is a gin and raw bar that re-imagines the sushi experience where global ingredients are married with traditional Japanese flavors to create inspired combinations of color, technique, and style.

Position:

• Sushi Chef

Compensation:

• $65-80K salary
• Medical

Schedule requirements:

• 5 days a week
• Closed Sunday and Monday

Language requirements:

• English

Experience required:

• 3+ years of Sushi experience (knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques)
• BOH management experience
• ServSafe certified
• Ordering & receiving, inventory
• Staff training & motivation
• Scheduling
• Managing 5-10 employees
