Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Administrative Director and in conjunction with the Medical Director, performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed Ultrasound examinations for diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures. Is responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served: i.e. Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs; possesses knowledge of growth and development; and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certification: Registered RCDS or RCS
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound School
• Experience: 1 year preferred
