Job Purpose:
The Telecom Assistant will be responsible for order processing, porting of telephone numbers, and fulfillment transactions to achieve company goals and customer timelines.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for issuing and monitoring porting requests and Customer Service Records (CSR) for Number Portability with our vendors.
Responsible for issuance and monitoring of porting requests received and Port-Out requests.
Number Portability, order processing, including placing orders through various software and web-based interfaces, monitoring orders through the Portability life cycle, the status of orders being worked, and dialogue with technicians for testing.
Responsible for submission of Business Directory Listing and Caller Name.
Responsible for processing business moves, adding, changing, and deleting number and voice requests.
Perform follow-up actions as necessary for incomplete orders and or rejected orders with our vendors.
Perform updates of internal company documentation (i.e., vendor service available, carriers, country availability, and requirements changes) and internal records as required.
Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Qualifications:
Associates Degree or additional relevant experience.
3+ years experience with number porting and telecommunications industry processes preferred.
Knowledge of basic switching technologies and routing.
Proficient in MS Software applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Access
Exhibits a high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, including written and verbal.
Prioritize and balance multiple projects and tasks.
Ability to work quickly and independently in highly stressful situations.
Ability to interact with and manage tasks with members of cross-functional teams.
