Therapist Job at Legacy Treatment Services Group
The Therapist provides comprehensive BioPsychoSocial assessment to consumers within 10 business days of referral to services. Based on BioPsychoSocial and screening tools, as well as collateral from judiciary personnel and staff, creates a treatment plan in conjunction with the consumer to address clinical and SDOH needs. Provides individual and family counseling to consumers pending linkage to outpatient services. Maintains treatment records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Is able to identify and implement trauma-informed therapeutic techniques to individuals, families and groups. Is able to administer and interpret assessment instruments utilized by program. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the consumers served. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the consumer's status in order to identify each consumer's needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the consumer group.
The Diversion Support Services program works with individuals who are incarcerated in Middlesex County and released under bail reform to link them to services, including housing, financial assistance, physical health and mental health services. The program works from a peer-focused and strengths-based model to bring consumers from surviving to thriving.
Hours:
This position is Full Time, Monday – Friday, with some evening hours required.

Education/Experience:
MSW from an accredited school of social work or Master's degree in counseling. Experience in crisis settings preferred. Must be either independently licensed to provide mental health services (LCSW or LPC in NJ).
