The Third Party Logistics Engineer is responsible for assisting Magnum's warehouse business units by using warehouse systems, lean tools, as well as coordinating with leadership to improve productivity, workflows and expectations. The 3PL Logistics Engineer plays a vital role in the supply chain process by providing customer service that meets or exceeds our customer’s requirements.


Hours:
M-F, 9:00am - 5:30pm


Pay: Depending on experience

Location: On site, at our Fargo Warehouse

What you'll be doing for us:

  • Propose logistic solutions that aid both Magnum and its customers.
  • Take over the current KPI’s and update them daily with daily, weekly, and monthly report outs to each of the business units.
  • Help plan future capacity requirements through writing or re-writing jobs duties and processes, time motion studies, flow-path analyses, supply chain analyses, and zero-base analyses.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current and potential future logistical processes.
  • Responsible for helping the leaders monitor the performance and progress of warehouse staff through KPI productivity reports.
  • Engage with management to ensure that quality, delivery, performance, budgetary, and environmental objectives are met.
  • Improve productivity and workflows to clarify work processes and expectations in a common sense way that aids in carrying out work instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Fulfill Magnum objectives and directions.
  • Responsible for delivering excellent customer service by assisting current leadership in root cause analysis, polka yoke, and problem tracking to discuss in our daily team huddles.
  • Responsible for keeping stock control systems up to date.
  • Compliance with the safety regulations and safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Training: A Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering degree with minimum 1 year of warehouse experience. A willingness to take part in continuing education through professional organizations.

The warehouse manager must have the ability to alternate walking, standing for extended periods of time, sitting, climbing, bending, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, drive forklift and carry or lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. above chest level. While performing the job, this position will have frequent clerical duties that include walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and will have to occasionally use the hands and fingers to lift, feel, and reach.
