The impact you’ll have at Genesis:
At Genesis Financial Solutions, accounting and treasury team is building data-driven processes that enable us for analytical and sound decision-making abilities. The Treasury Accountant is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling the cash flow daily. The successful candidate has a desire to learn and is willing to roll up the sleeves. Also, he or she has a proven track record of partnership, history of managing ambiguity and conflicting priorities, and excelling in high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
As our Treasury Accountant you will:
- Handle daily cash reconciliations
- Check and verify cash transactions; and investigate and propose possible resolution for any discrepancies
- Assist in monthly close processes including preparing journal entries
- Analyze accounting and treasury data
- Analyze, monitor, and be part of process improvements
- Assist in establishing and maintaining accounting and treasury policies and procedures
- Assist in establishing internal controls and guidelines for accounting and treasury transactions
- Additional projects and duties as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting and/or treasury experience
- Coding knowledge and experience highly desirable
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to manage large amounts of data
- Proactive and flexible with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset and strong problem solving-skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
