The Treasury Analyst provides support to the department with respect to the ongoing day to day cash management and banking operations. The position will perform a wide range of cross functional duties within Global Treasury and serve as key point of contact for the growing amount of Know Your Customer (KYC) requests, and will provide key bench strength in the areas of signature card updates, cash forecast preparation and Excel modeling, daily bank account reconciliation, and completion of daily cash positioning.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as the main point of contact for Know Your Customer requests (KYC) for various legal entities for RGA’s banking partners.
  • Prepares daily cash position estimates and ensures that all anticipated cash flows are properly reflected within Treasury’s cash flow forecasts. Works with critical departments within RGA to ensure they communicate cash needs to the Treasury area resulting in adequate cash for the operational needs for all RGA subsidiaries.
  • Collects and compiles information for use on departmental dashboards.
  • Assists with banking signature card changes.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries and coordinates proper accounting within PeopleSoft. Resolves accounting issues with related departments.
  • Completes daily money market investing and ensures compliance with RGA counterparty exposure limits.
  • Completes daily reconciliation of cash activity in FIS Integrity Treasury Workstation. Prepares and posts journal entries and coordinates proper accounting within PeopleSoft. Resolves accounting issues with related departments.
  • Documents procedures for daily Treasury processes and keeps documentation current.
  • Provides analytical support for domestic and international Treasury issues.

Requirements

Education and Experience


Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent related work experience
  • 2-5 years treasury or cash management experience

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree
  • CTP certification or progress towards
  • PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience
  • Insurance/Reinsurance accounting experience

Skills and Abilities


Required:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance theory and applications
  • Knowledge of banking and treasury management products and services
  • Knowledge of U.S. securities settlement processes
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
  • Ability to set goals, multitask and prioritize workload
  • Intermediate investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives

  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines and work well with all levels of management
  • General business knowledge

Preferred:

  • Advanced understanding of cash forecasting techniques and/or financial modeling
  • Basic knowledge of treasury workstations

State of Colorado: This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $61,855 TO $80,380 per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
