Moorhead Brothers, Inc. is looking for a Lowboy Truck Driver to join our team. Our home office is located in Blacksburg, SC.
Qualification Requirements
- Valid Class "A" CDL license
- Required to carry a current medical examiners certificate (FMCSR part 391.41)
- Three (3) to five (5) years related experience in hauling heavy equipment is required for this position.
- Able to safety drive a water tanker, fuel tanker, walking floor trailer, flat bed and/or other commercial vehicles as required within driver's license guidelines and with the required driver's license endorsements
- Must be able to communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
- Able to work day or night shifts as required
- Able to stay out of town as needed
- Experience with airbrakes and standard transmission
- Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds personally and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Manual secure heavy equipment utilizing chains, straps, and binder/binding devices on equipment.
- Must be able to secure equipment properly to trailer. Employee is responsible for proper loading and securing of heavy equipment to prevent movement and allow safe transport to job sites.
- Must be able to unload and load trailer, either with or without assistance. Properly perform task to assure safety to prevent damage to equipment and to prevent damage to truck and/or trailer
- Must have oversize/overweight experience
- Must proper PPE on job site and wear steel-toed shoes/boots
