Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.

It is anticipated that, following the conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Description :

The NCHC Global Tax Group is recruiting for a US Tax Compliance Manager. This position is based in NY/NJ and will report to the US Tax Compliance Director.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the US Federal Consolidated Return process and State Income Tax Return Process by integrating the tax returns prepared by the co-source provider and collaborating with the SALT tax manager and the international tax compliance senior manager on the SALT and international tax aspects of the US compliance work

  • Review the federal consolidated return prepared by the senior tax analyst

  • Review co-source provider’s work on federal proforma and separate company returns

  • Review co-source provider’s work on country-by-county reports

  • Review US quarterly tax estimates

  • Maintain close working partnership with Tax Technology & Special Projects, SALT planning team, and Tax Disputes groups

  • Oversee the preparation of 1042 and FATCA compliance

  • Manage the fixed asset depreciation process for US Compliance

  • Assist with integration of tax policies and advise on the tax effects of proposed and enacted federal, state, and local tax legislation

  • Assist with Tax Planning initiatives and implementation of their tax compliance reporting requirements for federally related items

  • Maintain compliance with all SOX, internal audit, and NCHC requirements

  • Collaborate closely with Tax Operations teams (Reporting/ Indirect) to validate proper documentation and accurate compliance

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in the US tax compliance

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Accounting/Finance, or any related business
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting or related business
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience teaming with co-source providers

Preferred:

  • The ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and promote innovation and continuous learning within the group
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PPC-based programs: Excel, (i.e., Pivot tables, Vvlookups functions, formulas) Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in and prior Corptax experience
  • Experience with SAP

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $93,000 to $106,950
