UX Researcher (Remote)

Intellibridge seeks a User Researcher to execute and guide the integration of mixed-method research for clients in the public, commercial, and nonprofit sectors. At Intellibridge, our team members expand beyond the digital realm and focus on the people. Through the exploration of human behavior and patterns, they inform the creation of online and offline experiences. Applying mixed-method quantitative and qualitative research, they help our clients make informed decisions on design direction and priorities.

Along the way, you will establish and reinforce research best practices that align with Government policy, reinforcing fundamentals for an unbiased research approach. Leading exploratory and evaluative research will require a combination of curiosity and communication skills. The ideal candidate brings experience leveraging mixed-methods research methodologies to align client goals with user needs to drive decision making on priorities and design. The User Researcher is a strong, thoughtful communicator who is comfortable in client-facing situations, and is an excellent presenter.

Citizenship Status: US Citizenship required and have resided in the U.S. for three of the past five years.

Location: 100% Remote, US

Objectives

Objective #1: Plan, moderate, and analyze research into insights and recommendations to identify problems, uncover the root cause, that inform designs for customers to help their users have exceptional experiences

• Plan and conduct thoughtful and ethical user research
• Facilitate exploratory research to identify user needs and priorities
• Lead research analysis and synthesis to determine patterns in the research data that can inform product priories, design, and development
• Facilitate usability testing of prototypes and production versions to identify areas of improvement and enhancement
• Support the implementation of quantitative research platforms and oversee analytical reports being delivered to key stakeholders[AR1] [BN2]

Objective #2: Facilitate the project team and customer stakeholders through discovery and evaluative research.

• Lead clients and project teams through early stage research to understand users needs, jobs to be done, and baseline experience metrics that the new design can be measured against.
• Prepare and facilitate meetings, research sessions, and interviews with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and users.
• Define, test, validate, and document research findings by working closely with the project team and customer stakeholders. Applying feedback and iterating along the way.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams, guiding them towards understanding and applying research at scale.

Objective 3: Lead and collaborate with fellow team members to create compelling research artifacts[AR3] [AR4] [BN5]

• Create a wide variety of research deliverables that might be needed by a project, e.g. concise readout presentations, personas, journey maps, etc.
• Present and collect feedback on research plans to align to business needs and expose all team members to the research process
• Participate in collaborative design sessions with the customer, project team, and stakeholders to create a shared vision and understanding of the program

Minimum Requirements:

• Shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on engineering projects with specific Business and UX Design inclusive of:
• Experience with architecture & design experience, including an additional three (3) years of experience providing UX Design expertise for enterprise applications on AWS.
• Shall have experience with large scale, high performance enterprise application deployment and UX Design on complex heterogeneous environments.
• Shall have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Visual Communications.
