Absecon Veterinary Hospital is seeking veterinary technician assistants! Veterinary Technician Assistants help the technicians, doctors, and receptionists in all duties of the hospital. Technician Assistants provide for the constant cleanliness of the hospital, as well as all patient wards, cages, and runs. The Technician Assistants are responsible for the daily care of our patients, including walking, feeding, and recording of animal weight, appetite, and other information as directed. They are required to assist the doctors and technicians with restraint and other responsibilities according to individual abilities and training. There is excellent career growth opportunities and on the job training. The successful candidate will assist doctors and technicians with patients and clients in all departments.

Our hospital is privately owned and is fully equipped with Snyder ICU cages, ultrasound, digital radiography and a fully integrated in-house laboratory. Sleeping accommodations are available for candidates that may be traveling from a distance away for consecutive shifts.

This position is physically active and requires frequent bending and standing for long periods of time. It also requires routine lifting and restraining of animals.

Location: Our hospital is located in Absecon, NJ which is a convenient 45-60 minute commute from Philadelphia and only 10 minute drive to the Jersey Shore.

Position: Flexible work schedule (full or part-time considered), competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits package will be provided to the right candidate.
