Video Production Assistant Job at The Washington Institute

The Washington Institute for Near East Policy seeks a skilled, motivated individual to help produce live and virtual events, and to create compelling videos that illustrate our research products. The VPA will play an important role in running hundreds of annual events and in creating videos that are accessed by tens of thousands of viewers each year. The Institute’s meetings include public and private events with major global leaders.

Responsibilities:

1. Setting up Zoom meetings and webinars

2. Setting up live meetings using the Institute’s audio-visual systems in our state-of-the-art conference rooms

3. Creating videos from script to filming to post-production

4. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Experience with AV technology, including cameras, audio systems, and Adobe Creative Suite

2. Experience creating videos

3. Experience setting up and running virtual meetings

4. Effective oral and written communication in English

5. Ability to work professionally, productively, and collaboratively with a wide array of people from diverse cultures and educational backgrounds

6. Ability to work under deadline pressure and to respond quickly to technical problems

7. Manage multiple projects and tasks through to completion in a timely manner. Be flexible, have solid planning, social, and organization skills

8. Familiarity with Middle East issues preferred but not required

9. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Pay: $38,400.00 - $50,257.10 per year
