Amaterra Winery is the first estate production winery inside of Portland city limits. Located just minutes from downtown Portland, Amaterra is perched high in the tree-filled slopes of the city’s West Hills. Amaterra guests will be delighted with unparalleled views that overlook the vineyard and stretch to the Coast Range, embracing the landscape of the Pacific Northwest. We are creating a new wine experience unlike any other!
We are looking for full-time and seasonal Vineyard and Winery Associates to do various assignments in the vineyard and the winery. Some of the responsibilities include the following:
Vineyard:
- Operate tractor for various operations: mowing, flail, in-row cultivation, sprays
- Execute vineyard work as assigned
- Execute tasks for the tidiness of vineyard appearance as defined
- Organize and maintain vineyard equipment and supplies
- Prep supplies and materials for the growing season
- Maintain inventory of all spray materials
Winery:
- Cellar and barrel room work as needed
- Organization and inventory of chemical and tool rooms
- Packaging (hand or with mobile service)
- Bottling line (hand or with mobile bottler)
- Haul fruit from vineyards as needed
- Take pre-harvest samples from vineyards as needed
If you are passionate about the wine business, this is the job for you!! Qualifications preferred:
- Some wine production/cellar work experience
- Experience working in vineyard operations
- Passion for wine, winemaking, and wine culture.
- Willingness and ability to work long hours
- Valid driver license
