Job Title: Vocation and Recreation Mentor
Location: Eden Prairie
Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm – No evenings or weekends!
Job Classification: Full-time and Part-time
Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week (Part Time Available Also)
Pay: $17/$17.50 per hour
About the Position:
Holland Life is a rapidly growing day program that serves young adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Our innovative program is looking to hire an energetic, bright, active, and caring individual to fill a floating position that crosses the programs vocational and recreation divisional lines.
Job Description:
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and cooperation during group recreation activities
- Promote social interaction between all clients
- Assist the Recreation Guide by setting up activities
- Lead small group arts and crafts activities
- Offer physical or verbal support to clients during activities
- Help to create a fun, energetic, and beneficial work environment
- Assist in developing the Vocational Division
- Assist the Vocation Guide in seeking out, organizing, and preparing work for individuals with varying skill levels and needs

Required Qualifications:
- Must have experience working with individuals with ASD or special needs
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- CPR/AED/First Aid Training (can be completed post-hire)
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Excellent references
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree in a mental health field
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
- Professional Crisis Management (PCM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training'
