The Position:
We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to assist with the recruitment, development, and training of our volunteers at our Las Vegas office. The Volunteer Coordinator is an integral part of our interdisciplinary team by coordinating respite activities for terminally ill patients, families, and caregivers.

The Responsibilities:
- Follows an individualized Plan of Care established by the interdisciplinary team for each patient.
- Source and recruit volunteers through various techniques (databases, e-mail, social media etc.)
- Manages and documents ongoing volunteer recruitment efforts.
- Facilitates communication between the patient, caregiver, or volunteer and other hospice team members.
- Provides ongoing support and training for volunteers.
- Works closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate assignment and utilization of volunteers.
- Communicates with patient/family/caregivers to assess volunteer needs.
- Records services provided using volunteers, including monthly reports specifying types of services and hours worked.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
The Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a Volunteer Coordinator in a hospice or hospital setting. Will accept other medical management experience, if appropriate.
- Capable of working flexible hours to accommodate volunteer recruitment and training efforts which may include evening and/or weekend hours.
- Able to operate office equipment and telephones systems
- Able to demonstrate good time management and interpersonal skills
- Tolerance and sensitivity to emotionally charged situations encompassing patients, family, and caregivers
- Successful completion of background check pursuant to NRS 449.188 and NRS 179A.100
- Must have reliable transportation with current auto insurance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
