Under general supervision, the Relationship Assistant works as part of our lively and friendly client relationship team, providing administrative and sales support activities to the Relationship Manager and clients in order to develop, build, maintain, attract, and expand relationships.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Sort, screen, review, and distribute incoming and outgoing client correspondence; compose, prepare, and ensure timely response to the various inquiries for the Relationship Manager.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office suite to compose, transcribe, edit and distribute correspondence, memoranda from dictation, meeting agendas, and/or minutes of meetings.
  • Attend client meetings, prepare meeting memoranda, and follow-up on actionable items.
  • Participate in Tri-Star’s Professional Development Program as determined by the Director of Personal Trust Administration.
  • Assist with the development of professional presentations based on specific client needs.
  • Prepare Trust Acceptance Committee (TAC) forms.
  • Coordinate with the Investment Department to gather information in preparing investment reviews for clients.
  • Preparation of client transfer paperwork, standard account opening documents, and assembly of client booklets.
  • Responsible for completion of Regulation 9 reviews for agency and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA).
  • Execute client bill pays, ACH transfers, and receipt and disbursement of cash.
  • Obtain working knowledge and understanding of Irrevocable Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Foundations/Endowments.
  • Maintain and update files, databases, and records related to client servicing.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, interviews, appointments, or similar activities for the Relationship Manager, including travel and lodging arrangements.
  • Provide secondary administrative support for the bank such as answering phones, assisting and greeting visitors, and sorting incoming mail.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2 years’ Trust Administration experience, preferred
