Field Interviewer/Customer Service Rep (Austin CAP METRO)
We are a transit research data collection firm seeking Weekend Field Interviewers for a 4-month project January 14th-May for Austin Capital Metro. This is an entry level customer service position. You will be hired to conduct surveys with riders on a tablet and plotting start and end locations on Google Maps for market research to improve transit in the Austin region.
Schedule is Saturday & Sunday. You will be riding on board various assigned buses conducting surveys, sometimes even surveying at the stations.
Report Locations:
Shifts will begin at individual Transit Stations and individual bus stops throughout Austin and the surrounding municipalities that Capital Metro services.
A car will be necessary to get to rail stations early in the morning since we start before the bus and trains start running. Parking at stations is available.

Training Date: Jan 14th, 2023 from 10am-5pm
Shifts: Staff will work roughly a 10 hour shift each day with a 1 hour break for lunch. Start times and end times will vary each weekend so a flexible schedule is needed. Below is a look at the schedule for the first 2 months.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Pay rate: $20 per hour. Paid weekly
Requirements:
· Must be prompt as timeliness is important
· Must be able to communicate with strangers (Bus Passengers)
· Must possess knowledge of smartphones and/or tablet programs
· Must possess knowledge of Google maps
· Must be able to stand on your feet on board a moving bus for up to 7 - 8 hours
· Must be comfortable asking personal travel and demographic questions
Bilingual Spanish Speaking preferred but not required
