About McIntosh: McIntosh Box & Pallet is a packaging company that has been in business for over 58 years with 400 employees across twelve locations. We have seven Plants in New York State, two in West Virginia, one in Virginia, one in Maryland, and one in North Carolina. We are searching for a highly qualified individual to help us in our Martinsburg, WV facility.
Main Responsibility of Job: We are looking for a Yard Jockey to assist in moving and spotting equipment required to facilitate the needs of our plant in organizing and processing material for shipment or storage. The responsibilities of Yard Jockeys include trailer sanitation, moving equipment, and conducting daily inspections.
To be successful as a Yard Jockey, you should have good eyesight and communicate effectively. Ultimately, a top-notch Yard Jockey should be able to perform under pressure, have good driving skills, and be responsible.
Duties:
- CSR duties required
- Move trailers from dock to dock and into the yard
- Inventory control
- Safely drive the yard hostler and trailers around the yard
- Strong attention to detail
- CDL license not required
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good eyesight
