Founded by Joseph H. Wieser in 1965, Wieser Concrete Products, Inc. started its Manufacturing Operations near Maiden Rock, WI.

Over the years, the market demand has resulted in Wieser Concrete Products, Inc. developing additional manufacturing facilities at Menomonie, Portage and Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Roxana, Illinois, Rosemount, MN and distribution sites in Spooner, Wisconsin and Jordan, Minnesota.

Wieser Concrete Products, Inc. manufactures an extensive line of precast concrete products for the Agricultural, Underground, Highway, and Commercial markets. This diversity and flexibility has aided Wieser Concrete in maintaining a sound, successful operation.

Purpose:

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller, CFO and Management to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial and other key information.

Primary responsibilities:

• Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries, allocations, intercompany eliminations, intercompany transactions, and various other month-, quarter- and year-end activities.
• Identifies, reports and corrects errors made by both internal and external sources.
• Trains internal users on correct methods of reporting
• Primary owner of the timely monthly financial close, including making journal entries, accruals and the overall maintenance of accounts.
• Supporting the internal control framework and annual audit of financial statements by developing and documenting business processes and policies, preparing supporting schedules, external financial statements and footnotes.
• Backup to all AP/AR functions
• Acting as the liaison with business units, sales, marketing, operations and legal as necessary to ensure appropriate evaluation of transactions in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies.
• Consulting with operating and finance personnel at Corporate and within Wieser’s diversified group related to accounting questions and implementation of financial policies and procedures
• Work with estimating to ensure accuracy of jobs and costs.
• Creates and maintains additional financial reports based on data analysis.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Highly organized self-starter who is creative and collaborative and offers thoughtful insights.
• Data-driven
• Two or four-year degree or commensurate experience.
• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and organize efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

• Accountant Salary: $20 - $27 per hour depending on qualifications
• Sr Accountant Salary: $60k -$80k annual depending on qualifications

Education:

• Sr Accountant: 4-year degree in accounting preferred
• Sr Accountant: 2-year degree in accounting required
• Accountant: High school or equivalent

Experience:

• GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
