ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR
***Must have Substance Abuse /Mental Health Experience***
Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for assisting inquires in the different treatment options available to clients. The Admissions Coordinator is also responsible for the insurance screening and/or payment for treatment and coordinating travel arrangements for patients.
Essential Job Functions:
- Answers inquiry calls efficiently and courteously.
- Appropriately completes inquiry call forms.
- Coordinates and schedules prospective patient screenings.
- Coordinates and processes all admissions to the facility.
- Responsible for obtaining demographic and financial information during inquiry calls.
- Responsible for mailing program literature when requested.
- Works collaboratively with the Clinical Staff and, providing updated information.
- Ensures the clinical and financial screening criteria have been met prior to admission.
- Obtains necessary consents, identifications and financial documents needed to admit client into the program.
- Maintains client confidentiality laws.
- Ensures a professional atmosphere at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines & procedures.
Necessary Abilities:
- Operate a fax/copy machine & telephone
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Knowledgeable of Clients Rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent caring manner Understands the principles of addiction and psychiatric treatment
- Employees may not hold other employment outside of the Transformations Treatment Center in any related field without prior written permission of the CMO.
- Ability to recognize and assist in crisis situations and provide interventions based on training and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication (both written and oral)
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
