Job Title: Clinical Aide

Reports To: Site Supervisor

Summary: Clinical Aides assist medical professionals with patient management, basic diagnostic tests, and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepares, cleans, and maintains exam rooms and treatment rooms. Keeps exam rooms stocked with supplies.

2. Shadows and learns new skills from Medical Assistants and Front Office staff

3. Teach and confirm the accuracy of vital sign measurements

4. Reviews HIPAA, OSHA, and COVID policies and testing

5. Treats patients with courtesy and compassion

6. Helps facilitate patient flow and communicates changes with patients and clinical staff.

7. Maintain courteous relationships with outside caregivers, insurance carriers, labs, hospitals, and pharmacies at all times.

8. Basic documentation

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff

2. Ability to assist in a variety of common office procedures

3. Ability to maintain records and record test results.

4. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures

5. Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations.

6. Ability to stand for extended periods of time

7. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year of experience in the medical field preferred

Mental and Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a Medical Receptionist and Scheduler that are mostly sedentary with occasional standing, walking, reaching. Daily and repetitive data entry may cause nerve problems unless ergonomic techniques are used. Periodic stress occurs from handling many calls and dealing with patient requests.

Conditions: The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, labs, hospitals and other members of the public on a regular basis. The position may cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
