    POSITION: AVID Program Tutors (part-time) – High School positions

    SALARY RANGE: $13.00-$23.47 per hour; flexible schedule – may work up to 7 hours per school day
    (prefer 6-14 hours per week).

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
    • Current college student or college degree preferred. Minimum of a two year associates degree or the equivalent of two years of college preferred.
    • Experience working in school setting and/or student pursuing education degree preferred, however, training is provided.
    • Experience working with Middle School or High School students preferred.
    • Able, under the direction of licensed staff, to tutor students, reinforce learning and supervise students working independently and in study groups in all content areas.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    • All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
    • No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.
    • Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy.
    • As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States
