Landplan Engineering is a Civil Engineering, Surveying, and Land Development firm of 20 professionals serving Kansas and Texas. We have an Civil Engineer position available in our Lawrence, Kansas office. We hope to find an experienced engineer with a desire to get planted and grow strong with our team.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Providing support on the design of residential and commercial development projects.
• Providing support on the preparation of construction drawings for projects.
• Continue his/her education process by developing appropriate professional skills and expertise.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
• A working knowledge of basic engineering principles
• Familiarity with site development design and preparation of construction drawings
• Familiarity with local, state and federal regulations with regard to design
• Experience working with local and state agencies in plan review and approval
• Experience working with city and county permit and plat review process
• Familiarity with storm water drainage design and analysis
• Familiarity with hydraulic and hydrologic principles.
• Have the drive and ability to see a project through to its completion.
• Must also be willing to learn, be detailed oriented, and have good interpersonal skills.

• Road Design: 1 year (Preferred)
• English (Preferred)
• Licensed (Preferred)

Pay: $75,000 to $85,000 range. Salary can be negotiable commensurate with experience.
