In this high-paced role, the PIP Intake Unit Trainees adjusts first party personal injury claims according to specific State requirements and guidelines. The role handles a target pending of an average of 185 claim files.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- This position will work as part of the PIP Intake Team handling lower severity PIP claims
- This adjuster will receive between 3 and 5 first reports a day with a priority on patient contact, service and claim disposition
- Claims Adjusters strive to maintain constant claimant rapport and routinely identify potential fraud indicators
- Daily duties include first reports, Image Right tasks, Nursing Interaction and medical bill review
- Candidates for the position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work in a small team environment
- Functional knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy with a thorough understanding of NJ PIP claim handling regulatory requirements is preferred but not necessary
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
