Compliance Specialist/ Executive Administrative Assistant Job at Jena Choctaw Pines Casino
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the General Manager (GM) with a dotted line to the Internal Compliance Officer, the position will perform a dual role as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the General Manager and the Compliance Specialist. Performs, coordinates and oversees technical and office administrative duties. Assist with casino internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable tribal, federal and state gaming regulations. Assist with Title 31 responsibilities by performing BSA/AML analysis. Performs, coordinates and oversees technical and office administrative duties. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ABD RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a working knowledge of relevant gaming regulations, and Minimum Internal Control Standards.
- Assist with Title 31 BSA/AML reviews and investigations.
- Drafts written SARs consistent with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as required.
- Assist with researches and reports on the most cost effective plans to minimize company losses due to accidents and etc.
- Develops and delivers Compliance and Safety training materials and programs.
- Schedules training and testing for Title 31.
- Maintains accurate, detailed records of internal control activity.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
- Represents Jena Choctaw Pines Casino to the public, businesses, Gaming Authority Board, and Tribal Council members and other agencies.
- Ensures smooth General Manager's Office operations.
- Serves the General Manager's office as the first point of contact for JCPC, Council, and general public. Greets visitors, identifies nature of business, and notifies relevant personnel.
- Assist, plan and coordinate GM special events.
- Prepares reports and presentations for GM. Assists GM in preparing board meeting materials. Edits papers for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Answers incoming calls, assesses purpose, and redirects calls to relevant persons or department using proper phone etiquette. Screens calls and mail; replies appropriately.
- Manages GM's calendar, schedules appointments, and coordinates meetings, conferences, and other events.
- Arranges travel, prepares travel documents, and maintains staff travel information.
- Attends various meetings and takes minutes. Prepares minutes, documents and messages from drafts, recordings, or spoken instructions.
- Maintains a confidential filing and retrieval system
