Construction Recordkeeper III: Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due contractor for work completed. Work requires contact with the public. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Construction Recordkeeper IV
Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws; determines payments due contractor for work completed; maintains liaison with construction inspectors and contractor's staff and trains others. Work requires contact with the public. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Construction Recordkeeper III
The essential duties for this job include:
- May attend pre-construction meetings to instruct contractor's bookkeeper on record-keeping procedures.
- Monitors contractors' compliance with federal requirements related to Equal Employment Opportunity and wages.
- Prepares and submits monthly and final estimates; checks calculations against work log and estimate form to verify work is completed before payment is made.
- Assist the front desk with answering incoming call to the office for breaks, lunches and during absences of front desk employee
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Construction Recordkeeper IV
All essential duties included above as well as:
- Monitors on-the-job training program and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and Small Business Enterprise programs;
submits required monthly reports. - Processes change orders, supplemental agreements, and extra work orders
Minimum Qualifications for Construction Recordkeeper III:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience: 4 years construction record keeping, accounting. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent).
Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Construction Recordkeeper IV:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience: 6 years construction record keeping, accounting. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent).
Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications required for both positions:
- Valid regular driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Construction Recordkeeper III

Construction Recordkeeper IV

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions for these positions:
- Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
- Subject to extreme cold and heat; below 32 and or above 100 degrees for more than one hour
- Subject to noise
- Subject to hazards moving vehicles/ mechanical parts, high places/ heat, or chemicals
- Subject to atmospheric conditions fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation
- Medium work: Lift up to 50 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 25 lbs
- Kneeling-bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee(s)
- Standing-prolonged periods of time
- Walking-moving on foot to accomplish tasks: long distance/from one work site to another
- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/ small tools
- Reaching extending hands and arms in any direction
- Walking- moving on foot to accomplish tasks; long distance/ from one work site to another
- Pushing-using upper extremities to press against object with force to move in a direction

- Must pass a drug test prior to employment for commercial driver and safety impact positions. Commercial drivers and safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing during employment.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment provided by employer and comply with all safety requirements.
- Employee may be contacted during off-duty hours to see if he or she can report to work for emergency situations, such as inclement weather events, including snow and ice operations
