We are seeking an account manager for our custom print division.

High Desert Print Company is a screen printing and design company who has established themselves as a central coast supplier for custom apparel in both wholesale and retail channels. We are driven by our creativity, we appreciate art and its function, and derive our passion from the purposeful art we create on press. High Desert Print Company was originally Isla Vista Screen Printing and has been a small business within the community for over ten years.

Our work is divided between contract customers that we serve all over California and beyond and our retail store in Isla Vista - Island View Outfitters - which caters to UCSB, Isla Vista, and regionally designed apparel. While we’ve operated for over ten years, we recently migrated our manufacturing outside of Santa Barbara and into rural New Cuyama. New Cuyama is part of Santa Barbara’s north county region, located north of Santa Barbara over the mountains of the Los Padres National Forest and east of Santa Maria along highway 166. We’ve partnered with a non-profit out in the Cuyama Valley as a social-enterprising effort to invest in small communities and improve the economic footprint of the region.

The account manager position works directly with our custom accounts for all of our services, which includes custom bulk screen printing, embroidery, large format banners, design, promotional items, and other auxiliary decoration services. The account manager manages all inquiry channels which include email and phone inquiries. This is currently a remote position, however, in-office appointments may be arranged.

We are looking for a personable and dedicated individual that takes initiative to execute their tasks at hand, willing to work with a team to assist on all projects, and help improve efficiencies within the workspace. Most importantly is the ability to work with positive energy and respect, as the backbone of our business is dependent on quality and personal relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

Price Quotations/Bidding

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Monitor calendar and ensure the timely and successful delivery of our orders according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate detailed requirements with our graphic designer to efficiently handle project mockups, artwork, and proofs.
  • Respond and process new and recurring orders
  • Become proficient with our product suppliers and print/decoration theory
  • Work with our CRM management production programs for order workflow
  • Build out pricing and custom quotations for our promotional products and large format signage.
  • Collaborate with our team graphic designer and other customer service representatives to process orders and requests efficiently.
  • Monitor customer payments, billing, and account receivable tracking.
  • Understand scheduling, turnaround, and production times to manage priority and rush orders, when needed.
  • Handle and process order tickets from start to finish; assist in the workflow process, procurement, and occasional communication with our print team and partners.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Prepare reports on account status

Hours:
Part Time, 20-30 hours per week. Monday - Friday.

Candidate must be local to Goleta/Isla Vista/ Santa Barbara area. This is a hybrid work from home position with occasional in-office work sessions in our Isla Vista office. Daily work hours have some flexibility, which can be discussed in further detail.

Opportunity for a full time position may be available in the future, depending on performance and ability to grow into role. Account Manager role can evolve into a more comprehensive role with room for growth and opportunity.
