The Director, HR Operations will be responsible for defining the philosophy and strategy for Total Rewards and HR Operations, with focus on, end-to-end total reward strategy spanning executive compensation, broad-based compensation, benefits, HRIS, and people operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Total Rewards this is a leadership position on the HR team helping drive and scale the HR processes as we grow as an organization. This individual is also responsible for the care and mentoring of the HR Operations team.
This position will be on-site based out of our Durham NC corporate headquarters supporting our Global footprint.

Essential Responsibilities
- Ensuring that effective policies, procedures, processes, and practices are in place which will enable compliance with rules and regulations in all geographic locations.
- Leads benchmark activities and market competitiveness through strategically managing salary, pay structure and mix, and is responsible for job leveling and benchmarking.
- Lead the annual compensation planning cycle activities (performance management process, annual merit, and preparation of annual bonus) and support presentations.
- Lead and develop a team of specialist and administrative professionals spanning over Benefits, Compensation, HR Operations and HRIS specialties.
- Passionate for process improvement and oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes so that the transitions are made as seamless as possible for the employees.
- Lead the optimization of our HRIS, Dayforce in partnership with other key business stakeholders such as Talent, Finance, IT so that Dayforce is best utilized by HR Operations and our employees.
- Responsible for administering and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for brokers, consultants, insurers, and vendors to ensure timely customer service, problem resolution and accurate plan administration
- Seamlessly transition from a high-level strategic thought partner to the executive leadership team and Board, to being very hands on and adept at execution. Doesn’t mind “rolling up” their metaphorical sleeves.
- Partner with Finance, Talent, Communications on matters such as compensation-based accruals, funding requests, employee engagement surveys, policy writing, pricing offers, retention strategies and other ad-hoc requests.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of HR Operations (HRIS, compensation & benefits) administration experience
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management, Finance or equivalent in training & experience
- Experienced and knowledgeable user of HRIS platforms (Ceridian, Dayforce)
- Strong customer focus, comfortable implementing change and dealing with ambiguity
- Capable of making decisions within guidelines and policies
- Expert skills with Excel required
- Proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools required
- Strong analytic, written, and verbal skills
- Experience demonstrating project management and organizational skills
