Director of Information Technology (onsite) Job at Visiting Angels
The Director of Information Technology will manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support services. This position will manage 1 team member.
CLASSIFICATION: Salaried, Exempt
LOCATION: Onsite - Bryn Mawr, PA
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This is not a comprehensive list for this position. Tasks and projects may be assigned as necessitated by business demands. These are general functional areas that need coverage:
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization's IT systems and department including creating departmental SOPs.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance.
- Create processes and standards for the selection, implementation, and support of systems.
- Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience managing an IT department.
- Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail plus analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically in a business setting, oral & written.

- Work independently and proactively with minimal direction and/or supervision.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects and to accurately complete work activities within allotted deadlines while managing interruptions.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to stoop/crouch, crawl, and bend or stand as necessary.
- Must be able to properly operate office equipment.
- Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, leadership team, supervisors, vendors and all business associates within or outside the company.
