Full-Time Entry Level Inside Sales Associate with STS Industrial, Pasadena, Tx. location (Website: https://www.stsindustrial.com/)

Available for immediate start date.

First 90 days of employment will require training at our Orange, Texas location. Standard mileage reimbursement will be provided from our Pasadena, Tx. location to and from our Orange, Tx location. Must have reliable transportation.

This position is our Entry Level-to-Full-Time Inside Sales Associate position.

  • The day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include the training required to fulfill the responsibilities of our Inside Sales Associate.
  • Preferred: Administrative Assisting, Counter Sales, and Receptionist/ Customer Service Clerical experience will be a plus for this position.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Excel, Word, and basic technology skill sets.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings/ gaskets and fasteners is a plus, but we will hire someone with no PVF or gasket/ fastener experience and train if the other preferred skill sets and experience are present.

Compensation:

For candidates with little to no Sales/ Support/ Customer Service experience:

$47,000/year Total Compensation consisting of:

  • $17.81/ hour ($37, 045/year)
  • Typical Optional Overtime pay (up to 5 hours per week) COULD BE an additional $3,473/ year based on business hours of M-F, 7:30-4:30 with 30-minute lunch break.
  • Guaranteed commission of $540/month ($6480/year) for first 12 months*

*During guaranteed commission time frame, there is opportunity to earn even more commission that $540/ month based upon increasing sales as training and experience begins to create more efficiency in performance.

We are looking for someone who has a positive, willing attitude about being trained and about learning to work the STS way of doing it all.

Preferred Basic Technology Skills

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • comfortable and familiar with performing basic computer functions,
  • able to follow cues within our computer operating system while learning to navigate our sales process,
  • knowledgeable and able to perform basic functions within Microsoft Office programs, like Excel and Word.

Preference will be given to applicants who have intermediate Excel knowledge and experience.

We are a rapidly growing Industrial Supply company with locations in Sulphur, Louisiana and Orange & Pasadena, Texas.

  • Your willingness to provide good customer service and a team player attitude are our priorities.
  • We service plant-related refineries/ chemical manufacturers along with contractors, fabricators, and other commercial customers. This job does not include Retail Sales.
  • Our clientele is established and growing, so the position is primarily inside sales support and customer service.
  • We provide STS training for team members.
  • For those with little to no sales experience, who have a desire to learn quickly, become a team player, and take care of our customers – our intuitive operating system has built in guides to help with learning.
