DNP Investigation and Security Services, LLC (DNP-ISS) are seeking to fill the following positions for ongoing events throughout the DMV

Safety Management Event Specialist (Experience preferred but not necessary)
As a Safety Management Event Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall safety and security of special events by playing critical roles in the culture and climate. The position requires reliable workers who are able to defuse and de-escalate acts of misconduct and/or serious incidents.

As a Safety Management Event Specialist, you will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent:

Principal Accountabilities & General Responsibilities:

• Fulfill duties associated with the post assigned as part of the venue’s security plan; maintain an orderly post and remain at the post at all times unless otherwise directed by a supervisor.
• Actively watch for and respond to incidents such as disputes, intoxications, and medical issues.
• Report unusual activity or suspicions of safety/security issues to the on-duty supervisor in a timely manner
• Complete report documentation related to incidents.
• Monitor venue grounds and entrances to ensure only authorized personnel and authorized visitors access; if assigned to the main entrance, ensure all guests follow the entry screening process
• Exercise dignity and respect when interacting with guests at all times
• Lead efforts to de-escalate inappropriate behaviors
• Must be able to physically stand on the post and/or remain mobile for the full duration of the shift

DNP Investigation and Security Services, LLC (DNP-ISS) are seeking to fill the upcoming positions in the Washington DC/ MD are:

MD/ DC Security Officers Unarmed (Experience preferred but not necessary)
As a Security Officer with Securitas you will be responsible for the security and safety of property and personnel. You will be trained on all site-specific policies and procedures, providing excellent customer service and assist in emergency response activities as needed.
To ensure success in this role, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate professionalism while still enforcing the security and safety rules of the client site they are protecting.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to local/state legal protocols before the arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Skills

• Proven experience as a security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
• Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
• Registered as a security officer
• High School diploma is required

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
