An active and professional family of 4 in Greenwich Village, NYC, is seeking an experienced and full-time nanny for their two sons, ages 5 years old and 18 months.

The schedule is Monday through Fridayfrom 7:45 am - 6:00 pm, with some flexibility needed.

Summers are spent in Bellport, Long Island. This position is perfect for candidates who live between Manhattan and Bellport. Must be able to drive.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to everything relating to the children’s care and well-being:

• Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities, including reading, games, educational activities, and indoor and outdoor play.
• Drop off and pick up from school and activities.
• Arranging playdates.
• Pick up the youngest child from daycare at 3pm, 3 times a week. The eldest child is picked up from school and taken to activites by their family’s PT nanny in the afternoons and early evening.
• During the summers, driving to and from camp and activities.
• Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones both behavioral (e.g., folding clothes) and educational (e.g. learning alphabet, doing homework).
• Helping to set & keep the children on a schedule (e.g., meals, naps, bedtime)
• Child-related chores, including dishes & laundry, keeping the child’s room and main spaces clean and tidy, and restocking child-related items.

The family is quadrilingual, and although the position is open to candidates who do not speak one of the following languages, there is a strong preference for fluent Mandarin, Spanish, or German-speaking candidates.

A strong preference will also be given to candidates who are comfortable cooking enough of the children’s dinner to include the parents.

Must be able to drive and have experience driving with children.

The right candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant nanny experience working with preschool-aged children and will be loving, attentive, genuine, warm, honest, reliable, proactive, knowledgeable about child development, have flexibility in their schedule, and seeking a long-term position.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant FT nanny experience.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• Able to commit to summers in Bellport
• Drive with a clean motor vehicle check.
• 2-3 Valid references.
• Clean background check.

A major plus to have a background in education or child development.

Salary: Approximately $85,000 - 87,000 + or higher per year based on experience and credentials and a 51.25-hour-a-week schedule.

Benefits: 10 days paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, paid major holidays; others can be negotiated
