Reports To: Loss Prevention & Audit Manager

Job Purpose: Assist the Loss Prevention and Audit Manager in execution of Inventory Control and Store audit procedures for the entire organization. Acts as a liaison between GEI office & stores. Under the direction of Inventory Control and sales Audit Manager, partners with the field leadership team to prevent loss due to any kind of error, fraud, cash theft or technology malfunction. Lead and support the store accountants’ team. Promote and abide by the high standards of GEI, and maintain regulatory and company compliances while upholding the highest standards of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Paperwork Process

Lead and Schedule the paperwork auditing process for the Store Accountants.

Develop, update, and maintain in partnership with Operations and Accounting all the paperwork processes.

Oversee, monitor, train, and guide the Store Accounts tasks.

In partnership with Operations and Accounting help develop processes to ensure accuracy, easier and less time-consuming.

Educate new and existing store employees on, but not limited to, internal control procedures, Vendor check in procedures and PDI system

Inventory Auditing – Retail and Cost

Update and maintain the Audit Inventory Count process. Be present at assigned 3rd party inventory counts, process, investigate and post the audit.

Support the District Managers with the audits and investigate audit variances.

Assist with training inventory processes and reporting at the store level when needed.

In partnership with Pricebook and Food Service department update and maintain the EOM cost audit sheet.

Lottery

Run weekly reports and communicate the variances to Loss Prevention and Audit Manager

Help investigate variances

Support operations with the Lottery Process when needed.

Cash and Credit Cards

Run weekly reports and communicate the variances to Loss Prevention and Audit Manager

Partner with Operations leadership to investigate the cash variances

Work with the store accountants to obtain unpaid transaction information

Support Operations with submitting unpaid transactions and failed credit card transactions for payment.

Participate in special projects as assigned by the management.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of retail management experience. Gas station/convenience store experience strongly preferred

Proven leadership & performance in retail inventory management & loss prevention. Have strong passion for customer service while utilizing exceptional people skills and have a desire to excel in everything you do.

Available to work flexible shifts according to the needs of the business. This positions requires heavy travelling to various company sites.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.

Ability and enthusiasm to investigate discrepancies and encourage process improvements

Knowledge of inventory management system and computer literacy in programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with PDI Enterprise system strongly preferred.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Maintain a disciplined approach to managing, training and developing teams in daily work duties and responsibilities.

Uphold company standards in personal appearance, work ethic, and customer service.

Have a can- do and team building attitude in everything you do while working at a GEI store.
