Opportunity Overview

Responsibility Summary/Job Description

• Work on a new team to bring OCR to the firm. Need strong developers that can work in front end development, backend development, and learn vendor tools. Need strong analytical skills to break down current process and introduce new processes.
• Design (including system specifications), develop, test, document, and implement quality application software within targeted due dates
• Provide and validate program / task / system estimates
• Proactively identify implications of a project – articulate urgency, dependencies and tradeoffs over multiple systems
• Provide technical leadership and complete complex system level assignments
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced developers on the business impact of the systems supported and the technical design of systems
• Develop business and technical requirements for enhancements, projects, and new systems
• Lead walkthroughs to assure quality of programs developed by other associates Walkthroughs are done with an overall perspective to ensure quality and follow firm standards
• Develop relationships with stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to modify software to avoid future problems and promote continuous improvement
• Develop and execute complex system test plans to ensure quality
• Create documentation across many systems and functional areas, describes touch points and impacts at a total system level
• May involve periodic review and confirmation of general support documentation

Team Details

OCR is a product team consisting of a Product Owner, Product Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, QA, 2 core developers and looking to add 4 more developers.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

Looking for Java programmers that have written rest APIs in the cloud. Need experience with Azure Kubernetes. Any experience with working with Pega is highly preferred

• Collaborate with product owners and other team members to gather requirements, analyze existing code, provide estimates, design solutions, build specifications, and develop programs
• Provide high-quality, full-stack solutions by coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and maintaining applications and processes
• Mentor and cross-train other associates on newly developed solutions, conduct code reviews, and provide system support and participate in the team’s on-call support rotation
• At least 5 years of Java coding experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience in working with Pega workflow or Abbyy Flexicapture

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On call
