Line Cook (Part-Time) Job at SqWires Restaurant & Annex
SqWires Restaurant in beautiful Lafayette Square STL is looking for a part-time line cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is passionate, reliable and hard-working. Compensation starts at $19 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes
- Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Stock inventory appropriately and help monitor product freshness
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Answer, report and follow chef's instructions
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- Must be at least 18 years old
